DelS
Not sure about this one. I have a Discus that has a white growth on one side. No other spots just one large raised growth. It is not ick, I have dealt with that and this looks completely different and only in the one spot. Using Buffered DI/RO at 6.8 nitrates are low and the aquarium is well established. Any ideas? Ken Dyer
I always called those "discus pimples" and saw them occasionally when I was keeping discus. With clean water they always went away for me on their own. But I always took them as a sign to up my water changes (unsure if that really mattered, but was what I did). Ken Dyer
@Daniel may have better advice as I know he has a lot of discus keeping experience as well
Daniel
Just now, Ken Dyer said: @Daniel may have better advice as I know he has a lot of discus keeping experience as well Every once in a long while I see stuff like that. I don't what it is so I ignore it and then it goes away. 1
DelS
@Daniel @Ken Dyer thanks for the input! Still in my first year of discus keeping so you put my mind at ease 👍
Ken Dyer
Happy to help where I can, and call in the big dogs like Daniel when needed 😉 Enjoy your discus, they are such beautiful fish and I have thought about bringing up another batch more than once. Maybe some day, but for now I love the pictures on the forums!
