svachon9
My Dwarf Lilly has holes in the floating lilly pad leaves but none on the lower leaves. No other plant in my tank has a hole problem. Anyone has an idea what i can do for this? I use Easy Green and some added Easy Iron.
flossy
I would just trim it so it can focus on growing new leaves instead of fixing that leaf

Beach Cruiser
I think your "problem" is also in the first picture! 😁 My angels love to pic at anything on the surface or nearby. However, it could be a nutrient deficiency. Just in case, toss it a root tab. They're hungry beasts.
Tony s
Usually nutrient deficiency stays between the veins. When you see damage that crosses the veins. That’s almost always mechanical damage. So somebody’s been snacking on the leaves.

The newer pads seam to hold up to the abuse better.
svachon9
The thing I don't get is whether it's nutrient deficiency or fish eating it, why does it ONLY happen to the top leaves? And what can I do about it? Edited May 15 by svachon9

When my lilies are going good, they produce new leaves relatively quickly. less chance for meaningful predation that way
JoeQ
For me Angel fish plant damage can be minimized by feeding my angel fish more!
Beach Cruiser
Mine like to pick at anything on the surface. If she's in breeding mode, she'll test bite every big leaf in the tank...
