Dwarf Lilly leaf issue

Recommended Posts

I think your "problem" is also in the first picture! 😁

My angels love to pic at anything on the surface or nearby.

However, it could be a nutrient deficiency. Just in case, toss it a root tab. They're hungry beasts.

Usually nutrient deficiency stays between the veins. When you see damage that crosses the veins. That’s almost always mechanical damage. So somebody’s been snacking on the leaves.

Another vote for Angel damage! Imo this happens mainly with older weaker pads. The newer pads seam to hold up to the abuse better.

The thing I don't get is whether it's nutrient deficiency or fish eating it, why does it ONLY happen to the top leaves?  And what can I do about it?

It may be that these leaves are already under stress and more "edible " to the fish. possibly more root tabs will strengthen them and increase their growth rate. When my lilies are going good, they produce new leaves relatively quickly. less chance for meaningful predation that way
