Fine sponge for Aquarium Co-Op sponge filter?

I've searched the website and I can't find such a beast so I'm assuming they don't sell them but is it possible to change out the coarse sponge on Aquarium Co-Op sponge filters?

There is no official ACO replacement. But i think you can use the fine sponge from other sponge filters on the ACO one.

Correct, we don't have a fine sponge version. It will require service often if you use a power head or easy flow attachment and use a finer sponge.

I got a fine one (sponge only)at a mom & pop shop, mainly because I wanted to service it without the worry of shrimplets living inside.

I like the ACO base though. It’s nicely weighted and affords hobbyists the option to put an airstone inside, whereas other sponge filter brands are closed off and you cannot diffuse the air; you have to just connect an airline to the top. @Herefishie @GoofyGarra

The coarse filter also increases the flow of the water
