Is it cruel to keep guppies in a Fluval Flex 15??

Recommended Posts

I have heard altering views about this. I would say more people than not say it’s fine, but some people say that the flex even though being a 15gal, is too small for guppies due to its nature of being a cube and they can’t thrive. Is this true? I keep 6 in my flex and I feel bad if it’s true about them not being able to thrive.

15 gallons is a great tank for guppies a starter colony.   The tank it is similar to a 20L.    6 is plenty, and remember guppies love plants.

And you can keep guppies in a 20L?

As in 20 long not 20 liter. Although guppies could probably be kept in a 20 liter

Well this is my point exactly. The flex is still 57 litres but is a cube so I’m not sure

For a fast swimmer fish like a danio a can see the length being a big deal but guppies swim vertically plenty so i think its fine.
