Dr Blue Balls Posted May 13 Author Share Posted May 13 I've got lots of sunray guppies in there, and just added kuhli loaches, hillstream loaches, and galaxy rasboras. From what I've read, they all like to eat these little guys. Not sure why they're thriving though. Should I stop feeding the fish so they can move their focus onto the ostracods? Biotope Biologist Posted May 13 Share Posted May 13 Ah I didn’t watch the video all the way through yup those are ostracods so I retract my statement they do not make good live food! Evidence suggests they pass through fish digestive tracts completely unharmed. Anyway they may be evidence of over feeding but animals such as these tend to have rather explosive populations.
