GoofyGarra
So today i caught out some fish to bring to my LFS, they only issue is they dont open for another few hours. I have the fish in a 5gallon bucket full of old tank water, with a heater and a sponge filter in it. My question is as follows: Is it better to do water changes on the bucket to achieve better water quality, or not do water changes because that will stress out the fish?
Pepere
If you have a cycled sponge filter you should not need to do a water change. I would also not feed them.
Guppysnail
Just leave them and without food they will be fine for a few hours.
