GoofyGarra
first of all, im not sure what kind of algae this is, attached is a picture for identification. I have lots of this algae in my tank, and ive seen in videos that platies which i have lots of are good at eating hair type algaes. So i was going to attempt to get my platies into eating or removing this algae. However, ive heard that certain kinds of algaes can be toxic. Is this a case with whatever algae this is? Guppysnail
That looks like staghorn algae or similar. The algae I know of as toxic is blue green slime algae- Cyanobacteria. That smells to high heaven and is unmistakable. You are safe.
nabokovfan87
I've got nothing. I don't know if that is algae or something else.
