Guppysnail Posted October 31, 2023 Share Posted October 31, 2023 I had some that was expired for about 6-8 months. Kept in a Rubbermaid container at room temp. It set up a bit different and seemed to dry a bit more rather than set in that gel consistency. It fell apart after a short time in the tank and caused an ammonia spike. I had several types mixed. Make it and if it forms correctly put a small piece in tank water and a specimen cup. Let it hang in the tank to make sure it does not disintegrate like mine did. If it holds up I say it’s ok. I say try because there is no guarantee I had my water hot enough when I made it. It would not be the first time I messed it up. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
