Hello,

My zebra danio has a big red lump, he’s been eating, not swimming quite as much, however this morning I did see him roll over a bit on his side.

What is it and how should I treat? I will attach some photos. F05069A2-440D-4235-B33A-883E85F52A2F.jpeg.b61919d002a97a389020b388f7dd3624.jpeg11613E9D-8380-4A2E-AFB6-F27F9DBE65A4.jpeg.f49592059a0c3ecf5853c4bfc74a33d4.jpeg8DA4D6E4-032A-4E1C-89C8-43405A72F3D8.jpeg.4816bd431fdc819d62a98d1a1d8b8d20.jpeg3483103F-8762-4586-A44C-8DE7E29646FD.jpeg.d24312dd0c89995b7604620dd908cc61.jpeg

Looking at the lump it could be caused by an internal blockage or a tumor that doesn't look good even with treatment a don't think the prognosis is good this might be better to euthanize him with clove oil asking @Odd Duckfor a second opinion

That is highly suspicious of a tumor (cancer).  There’s not any internal organs back that far (sometimes a hint of kidney depending on species), that’s pretty much all muscle, nerves, blood vessels, or bones.  It could possibly be an abscess but that really not highly likely there.  I’m sorry, @Fishy101, but that’s very bad news for your little guy either way.  You could try treating with Maracyn-2 in food case it’s an abscess, but I’m not very hopeful for success.
