Facebook group vs forum

Im thinking about doing the unthinkable and going back on facebook for the facebook group. But, for those part of both, what do you post on each? I dont want to just double post.

I don't post on the FB group - I generally just look. I like to have a thread on the forum for a topic vs. FB. But, that's just me. I still enjoy the FB group; and I still learn from it.

I’ve kinda tried both out for a week now. Facebook is nice because I can post videos for help. Facebook is ultra frustrating because getting a dozen hearts or happy face likes doesn’t help. Posting on the forum I’ve gotten actual advice and help.  Facebook has significantly more activity but I prefer the thread and fish journal style of forums. Facebook comment threads are a bit of a pain to browse

I have been clean from Facebook for 7 years now so I'm forum only. Facebook is to marketing based too enjoy.

Facebook can be a mental health drain. I stick to the forums, only use FB for posting fish, shrimp, plants and stuff I want to sell in local groups.

I mainly use Facebook for local groups and groups for specific topics (killifish and live foods). The bigger groups tend to have a lot of junk and people sharing bad info.

Facebook groups are only good for buying things. Ive only read posts and tried to help someone and the format is just to difficult and non-productive.
