Sort of true.   I live about 12 miles north of Seattle and my pH is pretty low.  But the more the merrier!  (But shhhhhh.  Don't tell any other Seattlites I said that.  We want everyone to think that it's HORRIBLE here.  Too many people!  It rains all the time.  The winters make you suicidal.  You'll never be warm again!)
