Are Assassin Snails really asexual?????

Assassin snails are not prolific breeders and should be easily controlled by moving them to a tank where they can stay.  For instance a tank where you might have unwanted snails (other than assassins, 😆).  Or just excess “pest” snails where you would prefer to have fewer snails.  I put a single assassin snail into my angelfish tank because I had far too many bladder snails sneak in there.  If I could find it now, I would remove it since the bladders appear to be controlled now.

I would move that kiddo to a different tank, but you are very unlikely to get more assassins from that baby if it’s the only assassin snail in the tank.  Yes, females can store sperm, but this little one won’t have been bred, so shouldn’t proliferate on its own.
