Preston John
So I did this today. Lucked out and I was not crushed by the tank and the tank stayed in one piece. 3
Administrators Cory Posted October 25, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 25, 2020 I'm just more impressed you built the ramp. I've done far too many stupid "gotta get this done tonight" tank moves that should have resulted in more injuries than I have gotten lol.
Taylor Blake
I also need some friends When I was moving my 300 gallon into place i did it with 3 people and I should have had 8 haha. Why is it so high up? And what are you putting in it?
Dandy Pearl
I may have built a longer ramp and had a ladder ready but essentially the way you did it is exactly how I would have done it. Never underestimate the power of the 'inclined plane' and friction!

Then I seen it was acrylic, which is still very heavy & awkward. Glad to see you were safe & it worked well for you. BTW, I thought the DIY ramp was an enlarged version of the 'Aquarium Co-Op merch signs" they sell on their website at first, lol. Good video..... Andy's Fish Den
I saw this on YouTube the other day and thought this is crazy, then I saw it was an acrylic tank, so not as heavy. What a way to figure things out.
clovenpine
This is why fishkeepers spend all that time in the gym. Gotta stay strong to lift tanks and carry buckets! 😆
