Damo.Lo
Hi All I don’t know if this is already something that is spoken about or used, but I have realised today a great way to have a good look at your fish as they swim past in the tank is using a fresnel lens (Magnifying sheet/Paper) I use the credit card style one and it makes seeing fine details so much easier. You can get large A4 size as well
Flumpweesel
Might be very helpful when going on an egg hunt

PotatoFish
Those are great suggestions! You can also use a smart phone camera and the zoom feature. I use mine to take a look at small things in the aquarium and read super tiny text for work.

You can get large A4 size as well Just make certain that sunlight can’t shine through one into the tank. They can concentrate the light and heat significantly. It’s extremely unlikely that it could crack your glass but the focused light could potentially damage your fish’s eyesight if they swim right through the beam.
Damo.Lo
@Odd Duck this is the first thing that popped into my mind when I read that hahaha but that’s a good point with the concentrated light. 1
