Annie
Hello everyone! I just wanted some insight or recommendations for my planted 20 long. My situation is I’ve lost a few fish in the past weeks. My dwarf gourami, corys, the last of the glass fish, a couple tetras, and my pleco. (wasn’t all at once) Pleco was after a water change. I was already battling with Algae before my Pleco died. I tested my water and it was good🤔 I got 6 tiny otocinclus two days ago and they’re still doing good. As of today my water test indicates- PH 7.6 AMMONIA 0 NITRITE 0 NITRATE 20-25 The fish in there now are : 1 cory 6 tiny otos 3 von rio tetras 4 silver tip tetras Heater is set at 79 degrees I have also battled with the ick and have bought aquarium salt to add during water changes. instruggle with siphon vacuuming. And i bought FluvalSmart auto gravel vac and had problems with…and snails! sooooo. Some of my thinking is what else can I fit in there that helps with clean up and is beautiful. considering a beta? Or another dwarf gourami . I also really like the look of appistogrammas but not enough room for a school. More Cory’s so he’s not lonley and they’re adorable, hillside loach I wanted to replace the pleco but I read they’re not easy. ‘what should i dooooooo? Thanks , Annie
lefty o
i would suggest, since you have been losing fish the last few weeks, give it a few weeks to a month before getting more fish. if the otto's do good for a few weeks, then id think your tank isnt sick.
SJ fishing
I agree with lefty, give it time to make sure all the fish are healthy and doing well
