  1. Welcome to the forum, and thanks for sharing the great pics
  2. I was just in Harrisburg yesterday fishing. Tanks look great!
  3. Welcome back to the hobby! I’m sure this round will be more enjoyable for you
  4. I’d be down for that, Frederick is 30 min away for me
  5. Yep you can just show up. There is an auction at the end of the meeting for plants, snails, fish that people bring in so bring some cash if you may want to take anything home. I saw some really good deals. Seems the meetings are around 1.5 to 2 hours and will have food as well. Hope you enjoy it! Not sure if I can make it or not, trying to reschedule some things
  6. Yeah lighting could be part of the imbalance. Looks like you have all low light, slow growing plants that won’t use up nutrients as fast as algae will.
  7. Yeah it’s pretty far for me too. I’ll just get to whatever meetings I can. if you haven’t been House of Tropicals is worth the drive to check out Let me know if you end up going Saturday so I can say hi
  8. I would start by trying to reduce the lighting duration or intensity. and maybe a couple small SAE to help clean up
  9. Are you going to the Lehigh swap this weekend? I went to the ACLC meeting last month and joined. I was impressed with the meeting, much different than I expected. Seems some of the meetings are held at your LFS as well How far are you from Glen Burnie, MD?
  10. Hopefully that works for you! And in the meantime you are still getting some fry which awesome
  11. Mine always lay eggs in 1/2” pvc pipes, with a cap on 1 end. Once I can see eyes in the eggs I pull them out with a pipette (cut the tip so the opening is bigger) and put them in an egg tumbler. Once hatched I move them to a breeder box. Maybe remove the wood and see if they will try the pipe. I also keep 3 or 4 pieces of pipe and move them after a spawn as they seem to like to try new locations. The fry need small food like golden pearls for 4-5 days until big enough to eat baby brine shrimp
  12. I didn’t. When I placed the order I got this message, and when I went to the website to get a phone number they refer you a number to text
  13. Wishing I had done a little more research on this company before I ordered, shame on me for not doing due diligence. Screen shot of a review on their Facebook, and not the only one like this.
  14. Yes, I’m in the states. I set Monday as my deadline, if I don’t get at least a response from them I’m going to start taking actions. To me, considering what’s happened, for them to not have responded to my email from Wednesday is wholly unacceptable. I hadn’t thought about advising the manufacturer of what’s happened, that’s a good thought.
  15. I think it’s fine, I would use it as is without a mat. If you are worried you could cut and finish a piece of plywood to best match the stand, that is the size of the aquarium
  16. Ah ok, smaller than I thought. I’d give it a shot
  17. Perhaps that’s the case. So far I haven’t sent scathing emails or ripped in to them. I’ve been on the other side of that and it’s not fun. However, whether they have funds or not they can communicate….and they have not been great with that
  18. I like using guppy grass as well. Floating pogomon Stella octopus also works well. I use sponge filters, a thin layer of sand and a rock pile in a corner for shrimp and fry
  19. My panduros spawn about one every 3 weeks, but have eaten the eggs everytime. This week they spawned again and I pulled the male out. The female was out of the cave today and no sign of fry so wondering if she is the culprit
