Pacers94
I haven't seen this before, pictures my wife sent me before I get home today. I have 4 other cichlids, all fine from looking. This one has been hiding, color faded, and now just today this growth. Anyone know what's going on? Parasites?
quikv6
I'm not sure...it looks like it may be some sort of prolapse or tumor. If the former, Epsom salt may help.
Colu
Possible prolapse I would do Epsom salt baths 1 table spoon for 1 gallon for no more than 15 minutes 2-3 time's a day Epsom salt acts as a muscle relaxants to help your fish reabsorb the prolapse
DaveO
It is possible an aggressive tank mate has been repeatedly ramming this fish with the intent of killing it. I have personally witnessed this behavior before. The aggressor will ram the target fish in the intestinal area causing internal damage. Sadly this is the result.
