Beardedbillygoat1975
I am imagining that what is striking my 45 g display is unfortunately what just hit my 15 g tower tank but just to be sure I’m posting some pics and asking the great Nerm hivemind and @Coluif this could just be trauma or if it is Epistylis? This cherry barb female is eating, swimming fine but does have some torn up back fins as well. The red eye same thing eating swimming fine no weird behavior. I’ve been concerned about aggression lately (electric blue Acara, maybe the festivum or could be the cb males) but hadn’t seen anything specific. About 2-3 weeks ago I did a rescape and moved around hardscape and put in new plants. They’d been quarantined and dipped in h2o2. No new fish. pH 6.6-6.8 kh 1-2 gh 10 temp 77 Ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 20-40 I added a tablespoon of salt tonight.

Beardedbillygoat1975
Are they safe for plants @Colu? Do I need to pull everything out? Ughh. I agree looking at the pics online.

I agree looking at the pics online. I followed the Kanaplex/Nitrofurazone regime suggested by Colu, and did not remove plants, snails, or shrimp. I think the fact that the meds were in the food made a difference, as I had no losses.

Nitrofurazone can damage plants I have used it and not notice any significant problems with my plants after using it
Beardedbillygoat1975
We will see on the plants as I’m on day 2 of treatment! Here’s some pics of the dreaded white spots. About the same certainly not looking worse.
eatyourpeas
I hope this works, @Beardedbillygoat1975. Also, I increased the amount of air/O2 in the tank on @dasaltemelosguy's recommendation, and that seemed to help when I treated the tank for Columnaris. Beardedbillygoat1975
Yep put in a large airstone and I have the ziss air driven moving bed filter, pointed the outputs from the eheim's toward the surface to get better gas exchange.
