StephenP2003
Sometimes I take a turkey baster in one hand and the gravel vac in the other hand, squeeze the bulb of the baster a few times to blast debris out of carpet plants, moss, and other areas where detritus can settle. Only for looks, though, not out of necessity.
DaveSamsell
I let nature do it naturally with the use of various snails.
David Ellsworth
if you have soil substrate the mulm/uneaten food will help act as a fertilizer to renew what your plants use. It can also help to add trace minerals via the fish food with quality food. However, if you have large messy fish you may need to take action to filter some of that out. So depends on your situation.
