Scapexghost
I only have the one grow out take. The platies in it were born on dec 4 and the swordtail fry were born just now.
Guppysnail
Take a look at the mouth size on your platies. If the new fry fir in the platies mouth they will eat them. As long as they are very close to being a tiny touch to big to fit they will be safe. Congratulations on your new babies 1
Levi_Aquatics
I agree with @Guppysnail the platy fry will definitely eat the swordtail fry if they can fit them in their mouth. If they can’t you should be good to go. Feeding that aquarium a lot will help make sure the platys don’t try to eat the swords too much. 1
Patrick_G
I currently have about 20 swordtail fry in my 75 gallon community. The adult Swordtails, the Cherry Barbs and the Honey Gourami could eat them, and I’m sure they did eat quite a few but I’m happy with the amount that survived. Caveat: only one survived from an earlier batch.
