Heat or No.

A nagging question I keep asking myself is, put a heater in each tank or just heat the room.

When I had tanks before (5 or 6) I had 2-3 heaters.)

I`m lost on this, maybe someone has done both. 😕

If the temps you're aiming for are average room temps, the  just heat the room.....

But get a thermometer and find out how your averages are, it's useful if you can check the temp early morning when they will be at there coldest. Just to be on the safe side. 

Is it s fish room where you can keep the temp constant or part of the house where other factors can come into play. 

Sorry very little is yes or no in fish world.

I have tried to find fish and shrimp that don’t need internal heaters, and the safe range for many species is wider than you might expect. I’ve paused on Bettas, and run no heaters.

Yes, small bedroom.

I keep house at 65 until it gets too cold.
