heidigirl99
Any chance these two could be tankmates?
Fish Folk
You’re going to need at least a 120 gal aquarium if this will ever work. More water volume cuts back on potentially aggressive encounters. Lots of structure to break lines of sight. All these huge Cichlids are touch-and-go temperamentally. Check out Jim Cumming for great examples of huge Central and South American species. The Wessel Fish House is also something worth studying if you like big tank busters. Beardedbillygoat1975
The answer with mixing continents and cihlids I find is "maybe?" The ahli will max out at 6" while the blackbelt will get to 12" so longterm not ideal.
