Cys aquatics
i have recently had a long-fin bristlenose pleco die and i noticed that it had a weird lines (it was almost like a Bunche of little square outlines) on its back that developed over time and I was wondering if this could have been what caused it to die? Guppysnail
If the squares look like these those are the “armor” plates/scales. (Best pic I could get right now) their tummy should be rounded(this is a preg female so slightly exaggerated
Cys aquatics
i dont think that it is scales because i have two of this speicies and only the one has it. it could posibly just be a color pattern and maybe it died from other causes. Dwayne Brown
What species of pleco was it and how old? Some develop natural armored "plates" as they grow. When you fed it was it eating as much as the other one?
Cys aquatics
it was a long-fin bristlenose pleco, it was about about 1 year and a few months old, it wasn't eating as much as the outer now that i think about it.
