Med Trio in 5 gallon Tank?

Need to run the med trio through a 5 gallon tank. I was considering dissolving in water and then putting half in the tank now and then save half for another dose later on or another tank if necessary. Is that recommended or do the ingredients need to stay dry for effectiveness?

I had a similar situation with a 5-gallon quarantine tank, and I just dumped out roughly half of the medication into the water and then I saved the rest of the medicine packet in a ziploc bag. I know they sell these medications in large jars, where you scoop out the correct dosage as needed, so I assume the medications would do best if stored dry.

I take a 1-cup measuring cup, fuill with 1 cup of tank water, add a full 10-gallon dose of all three, stir well, and immediately pour half of the cocktail into the tank.

I don't store the remaining for later use, because I don't think it'll keep. But I do pour it in a different tank "just because".

I did the same as Irene--to divide I put the full dose on a folded sheet of paper and cut it into 2 heaps with a butter knife. I put one in the tank and half back in the packet which I folded and taped closed and labeled "5g dose".
