Fish Folk
So... I have this 5.5 gal tank, full of green goodness, but without any fish. And I went to my LFS looking for something new (to me) and small to try to breed in it. I found these... What are they you ask? Me too... Turns out they’re commonly called “Daisy’s Ricefish.” Scientific (Latin binomial) name... Oryzias woworae. Searching Fishbase... I guess the females hang onto the eggs awhile, outside their bodies, like this... We shall see! I got 7x. Maybe some will survive... maybe they’ll have babies... and that means BAP... {NERM breeder}
Fish Folk
Just found this excellent video on how to raise these. Surprisingly similar to killifish. But I definitely learned a bunch of things watching this. I recommend taking the time... Edited June 19, 2021 by Fish Folk

Beardedbillygoat1975
@Fish FolkVery cool. They look healthy and very chunky. Warmer water version of the Japanese ricefish. Excited to see what you’re able to do!
Aubrey
I used to have some and they bred prolifically. Although my colony fizzled out. I found that males were rather aggressive and constantly had wounds. If I had them again I would manage their population instead of letting them colony breed. Overall they're a nice looking, easy to breed, and fun to watch fish.
