Rudles
Are there any community fish that do well in low pH water (6.4)?
Administrators Cory Posted May 23, 2021 Administrators Share Posted May 23, 2021 I think this is like saying, do humans like living at 110 degrees? Some tolerate it. Almost none want it. They do better if they've grown up with it. FIsh are this way as well, some wild caught fish do ok at that pH. However a Majority of fish prefer higher, nearer 7.0. Even when I was in Peru, All the pH we ever tested was higher then that, much closer to 7.0 It can be done, but it will be the stress factor and any other stress could lead to illness. Rudles
Thank you, Cory. Just exploring options. I guess I'll just wait for my crushed coral. Can't wait to get this tank habitable. My two wet pets, an angelfish and a bronze cory are still in my 20 which has the same pH. Will they have any trouble adjusting to the higher pH?
