RyanU
I have been looking on line for an easy to make snello recipe. I found one that said to use tums and another that said to use calcium tablets. I was wondering if I could substitute a cuttlebone for the calcium instead. I have it and now as well use it up. The snails didn't seem to want to eat it when I just put it in the tank
H.K.Luterman
You can smash up the cuttlebone or grate it into a powder, yes. I find that when placed whole in a tank, the snails don't eat on it like they would food, but they do graze on it when they move across it; so I think they might get a little bit that way. But I do think a better way to get calcium in them is with powdered calcium mixed in snello or the like. I use powdered Tums mixed with Repashy. RyanU
OK thanks. I will make the batch with tums. And flavor in particular
