What is this stuff on my plants? -
HI, My fish previously had ich and then some sort of secondary condition. One died of ich and then another from the secondary infection. I don't have access to the meds available in the US. So I used API Super Ich to treat it. No other fish got ich, a week or 2 later I noticed some whiteness/dullness in another fish and instantly treated it with Tetra Ich guard later realizing it was not ich. I was then recommended to treat with API Fungal cure, which did nothing. Lost a second fish. A few weeks later, I notice another fish is dull, but this time it has a white protrusion at the side and a darker area. I have been treating the tank with API paraguard for just over a white with no changes. Unfortunately my Hospital tank has Rainbow fish in it, so I have been treating my main tank (they are new). The main tank only has 6 Rummynose, 45 gallon. It is fully cycled and the parameters have been very stable. What can this be? Can it be an internal parasite? It is a slender fish. It is active, but definitely swims on its own a lot, but does join the group at times. It seems to be eating well. Feeling pretty tired of trying to figure it out. I know I can treat it with salt (next step I think), but I really want to know what it can be. The photos are terrible, this guy does not stop! This is a screen shot from a video. You can see there is a little white protrusion at the side, this is the only one. There are no other spots like ich. Insight into what it may be? -
Hi everyone, Maybe you could help me out. So I took after a second hand aquarium and made it my own. It had very few fish left in it when I got it. So it had two of these tetras. One had like this big black blob in the middle of it's head, that looks like a third eye. Both of them started to develop these small black/darkish spots, which over time started to grow bigger and bigger. Now I've noticed, that my green neon tetras and panda corries have this mild darkish scale outlines, they don't have these black spots on them, but the outlines are noticible. The coloring looks very similar, just not as intense. The bottom one tetra had absotule no spots on them. I'm following ~5 day water change in two different ways. First I change ~30% of water and the second time I do ~50% with gravel cleaning/sucking out the trash. pH is 7.4 KH and GH is about 14 degrees, but all fish are locally bread and used to this. NO2 and NO3 is 0 I feed them flakes and frozen food, which I rotate too in order for my pets to get varied nutrition. Tank is 240L. It get's ~10h of lamp lights, since it's heavyly planted. Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance! -
Does anyone have an idea what this could be? I just got them yesterday and they're in quarantine. Ph around 6.8 (they came from LFS with similar water), temp 78. Everything else is zero as water is new (but aged a couple days and dechlorinated w/stress coat). He/she has eaten (i only fed them a tiny amount). Thank you!
