My Otos are loners sometimes and sometimes they're social. There's a couple panda cories hiding in the back somewhere.
Im taking it easy with stocking since the tank is only around six weeks old.
A stand, hinged glass lid, and a light.
I just replaced the heaters on both of my tanks with temperature controllers so I didn't need a heater 😂
A couple of sponge filters are on the way from ACO already.
Well, I did it. I just ordered a 10 gallon to use for quarantine. It'll be delivered tomorrow.
The tank was only $10 thanks to the $1/gallon special but everything else inflated the total to $90 🤣
New toys are always fun. I'm just waiting for the inline co2 diffuser to arrive then I can set up the Fluval 107 I bought the other day and change up my filtration.
It might be that with the increased bio load your cycle is mature enough to consume all the ammonia immediately but isn't mature enough to convert the nitrite as quickly. I'm having the same issue.
As I understand it, these are new Java ferns sprouting from the leaves of my existing ones.
Will they eventually detach by themselves or will I need to detach them manually? If manually, at what point should I do so?
I thought about this but I think I want to keep this one pretty minimal. No substrate, heater, and sponge filter.
I live less than a mile from Petco so I can just keep buying tanks if I get an itch 😉
The two times I ordered plants from ACO, they got juggled around by the postal service for a few extra days. Thankfully all the plants travelled well and I didn't have any deaths.
Oddly enough, supplies I get in North Carolina in two days.
I'm seriously pondering getting a few amano shrimp to do some algae cleaning in my 6 gallon betta tank.
My big question is, will the betta be agressive toward them since he's had the tank to himself for a couple weeks?
