  1. Guys I need some help. One of my breeding discus has fin rot and now is showering this awful bloated stomach and I just don’t know what to do. I have tried A combo of Salt and Rid ich plus, water changing everyday and re-dosing salt for the amount of water that was removed and full dosing Rid ich each time. After one week of that it still got progressively worse and now the discus has a huge bloated stomach. Here are my current parameters based on coop test strips.

    Nitrate: 5

    Hardness: 25

    Buffer: 40

    pH: 6.4

    temp: 83

  2. I saw these apisto at a LFS and they were labeled as apisto cacatuoides red pair for 64.99. Attached you can see a photo of the male and female for sale. I believe that they were mislabeled so can anyone give me a solid ID on these guys? I really want to breed them as I love the color on both. Thanks!

  3. First time this pair got them to eating from the Slime coat. Sorry about the dirty glass I didn’t want to get too close and spook them into eating babies lol. For some reason I couldn’t upload a video but here’s pics!

  4. This is a rack I bought from Home Depot for $80. Holds 800lbs but I would definitely replace the particleboard shelves with plywood. One 4x8 board will take care of all of 4 shelves.I know lumber is expensive right now but it should still all come out to be under $200. Very easy to build and I used it for 10s and 20 longs for breeding shrimp

  5. My Fellow nerms,

I wanted to get peoples recommendations for a large pellet floating food That’s high-quality that I can feed to my juvenile blood parrots. What I’m trying to accomplish with the larger food pellet is having something that will keep my blood parrots and Molly’s occupied while I target feed blood worms and other foods to my black ghost knife in his cave. He is only about 4 inches now and doesn’t come out often. My blood parrots are a bunch of chungos that eat everything ravenously. I have one at about 3 inches and two more at 2.5 inches. Thanks for any advise!

  6.  I personally like this approach to building a tank rack. Joey’s version seems to have all of the weight resting on the screws and that just does not sit right with me. I used this video to build a rack for my 55 and some 20 longs, since they share the same width, As well as a rack for two 40 gallons with four 10 gallons on top.  Should be comparable in cost to the the video Joey made as well but we all know how crazy expensive lumber is right now 😂
