  1. And I wouldn't complain for some cash flow, this multi tank syndrome is not cheap here in germany. Il have to chek what the prices would be but il leave them grow for now and enjoy in them
  2. I have wood inside but didn't know about oak leaves, il have to get some. I have bigg breeding box where I could put them but if kilifish won't bother them il rather leave them as they are
  3. I got 2 of this beautiful orange plecos almost a year ago from a friend and he didn't know what species they are so if anyone could let me know I would appreciate. And ass you can see on pictures I got first spawn from them, now the question is should I leave little guys in tank or pull them out ? They are sharing tank space with some gardneri killifish and bunch of snails. Thanks for help
  4. But it should work for baby brine shrimp since they will survive in fresh water for some time. Just need to find some sort of selonoid for air hose cause think gravity feed would be better option then pump
  5. So after seeing last video of auto feeder for fry with dosing pump from KeepingFishSimple I have similar idea for my fish room since I'm working from 06 am till 5pm. Only question I have is how long can frozzen food stay good for consumption after is defrosted in water ? I could refill food every day so I would need it to be consumable for less then 24h. Wouldn't won't to poison my fish. So if anyon has any experience with it I would love to hear your feedback
  6. Not sure should I go with Rams or Kribensis or something else. Those 2 are somewhat on smaller side. Help needed guys 😅
  7. I have Cory's breeding after every weekly water change so I can put as many as I want.
  8. Small update, tank is up and runing with fine sand as substrate and few plants ( more to come in next weeks ). I decided i wanna have rummy nose Tetras in it so 40 of them are ordered I would like to have corydora juli also inside but not mandatara since I can put them in another tank if needed Still cant decide what should be a centerpiece fish lets say. Discus and angels are beautiful fish ( my wife and daughter particularly like discus ) but I find them a bit to chilled out, they move like they have all time in the world and I like more action in tanks.
  9. Yea its really cool tank and guy gave it to me for free, that's tank that was around 1000+ euros. Il only maybe put black foil on wood, still not sure if I like this finish or not. Idea is to start slowly, even if takes me 6 months to have it finished, but when is done I want it to have wow factor and that there is always something interesting happening inside. Have to start with choosing fish first so I know if it's gonna be sand od gravel substrate. Then do some research on plants and aquascaping, since now I used plants mostly as filtration and hiding place for fry. Have a feeling it's gonna be more of a longer project but when it's done it has to be something that's gonna be magnet for your eyes
  10. Angel fish and discus are on the list but I think there is more maybe not so common but beautifully fish out there
  11. So I got a phone call yesterday from a small local fish store asking me if I want a 350L ( somewhere around 90 gallons) juwel corner aquarium for free. It has to go out asap from a waiting room in doctor's office. And I said of course I want it since it's 3 times bigger them my biggest tank at the moment. So I need inspiration what could I keep inside, my daughter and wife would like a bigger fish since biggest one we keep now is siamese algae eater. What we have at the moment : -panda and juli corridoras - few hundred or maybe thousands different strains of guppies (20 tanks in basement set up for breeding) -kuhli and brown loaches ( think they are called brown, same as kuhli just no stripes) - some bristlenose plecos - agassizii double red (1male, 2 females, trying to breed them but no success for now) - neon tetras - few hundred cherry shrimp - Amano shrimp We are interested in some maybe bigger fish that could comfortably live in that size thank but I was mostly focused on guppies so know little or nothing about other fish. Maybe something that could potentionally be breed for fun and getting little return from hobby since I have fish store where I can unload fish. Not sure should we go with community tank or species only tank ? Maybe something that could occasionally snack a 1-2 months old guppie culs ? ( I'm not talking about the ones that are not right color or shape those are exchanged for some fish food in store and he is selling them for cheaper, talking about the ones that have genetic deformities and their quality of life wouldn't be the best ) Counting on some ideas from long time tank keepers since there are hundreds of fish Thanks
  12. If they can get trough the holes just put pantyhose over the basket
  13. I visited guy in germany who is well known guppy breeder worl wide and he is keeping his fry in if im not mistaken 5l plastic containers for with some java moss. And he is changing water weekly
  14. Quick question guys and girls, is it safe to suspend rimless aquarium the way coop store has them ? Aquarium is 60 cm bright, 30 deep and 40 high, 8 mm glass, ide is to support it on both sides where is 30 cm from front to back, but not sure if thats smart idea. Thanks for your time
  15. Actually saw that video while doing research and i like caster idea but i wouldnt put so high rack on it like one im building and those 4 casters are pricel like my whole rack
  16. Thanks for help, yea il use 30 mm, price difference isn't so big so better safe then sorry. Since you are familiar with extrusions from what I see which connector types would you suggest for this ?
  17. I wrote particle board because I'm not really sure what is called in English. Basically that sheet material is used on truck trailers for flooring, its hard and sturdy and water resistant
  18. If I got it right then tanks would be recesed inside for a extrusion thickness. And how did you calculated that safety factor if I may ask, so I know for future and maybe even go with size down extrusion
  19. its not on the picture but there will be wooden partical board underneath tanks to spread load
  20. Hi guys, im in process of building small rack for some guppys, and would like to build it from extruded aluminum. This would be my first rack build and first time building something with T sloted extruded aluminum. So if someone has any experience with it i would like some input. Plan is to you 30x30 mm extrusion but not sure if that would be strong enough ?
