So i have 4 tanks, one is a goldfish tank im not to worried about, but at the last of summer last yr, my only tank was in the mid 80s....i used ice to cool it off. I plan on getting 2 acs to run but my electric bill is alrdy high w 4 tanks lol. Maybe ill try the frozen water bottle thing

Are there any tricks to keeping my fish tanks cool throughout the summer months? I live in an upstairs apt and it gets hot during the summer, i dont wnna cook my fish lol....Any ideas??

So i have a clutch of mystery snail eggs in my goldfish tank, i pretty much knw if they hatch the goldfish will eat them, my question is, will it hurt the goldfish if they eat the baby snails??

So I just had another hob filter stop working after only 3 months. I have a 75 gal tank that I was gonna switch to a canister filter, but how does it work? Does my tank have to be drilled to uae a canister filter?

Is there like a wholesaler to buy tanks from? Am i right that 40 breeders would make good show tanks? 20 was jst the number i was thinking...i alrdy have the space, i jst need to show the person who will back me that its a viable thing...ne suggestions on how i can show him? There isnt a fish store within an hr of me, i rly think it could work...does cory actually co op with ppl that have an actual business to co op with lol...

Does anybody have a rough estimate on what the overhead would be to open a small, maybe 20 tank fish store?? And what licenses r involved with it?

So how oftern should i change the actual whisper filter cartridge in my filter? I know not to change the filter floss, but the actual whisper cartridge in my filter is super bad, do i jst rinse it off or change it? There r 2, and i dont wanna mess up the ecosystem because my tank is in really good shape...

What is wrong w my cory?? I just noticed this, it looks like a cut on his face but im not sure how it would of happened? None of my other corys in this tank have ne cuts on them...There is a german ble ram in the tank, idk if he cld be the culprit??

@GalabarI have a question that is off topic...ive been feeding big pieces of cucumber to my pleco, and my water is rly cloudy, is it from the vegetables?

I ordered 2 Golden blue eyed bristlenose plecos. They are only 1-1.25 in, so they r babys. I alrdy have a 10 in common pleco, they r awesome.

@Tony s Oh man i have plans to have a 125 and another 75...i live an apt an im limited, but i love it! I just got my first live bearers in the 29, i went with swordtails. I ordered to mystery snails for it, and the plecos are so small rn they r going in the 10 or maybe 1 in the 29 to. I love snails to! I only have 1 black mystery rn, but have 4 on the way :)

@Tony s I have 3 tanks with fish in them, a 55, 29, 10... I have plans to buy a 125 but i cant find one. I dont have algae eaters in the 10 or 29, they are newer setups

@AllFishNoBrakes yes they wld jst be going into the 10 gal for right now, i have 2 bigger tanks and plans to get a few more big tanks :)

I am ordering either 2 hillstream loaches or 2 blue eyes bushynose plecos, they r about 1 in....whichever I get is going in a 10 gal for now to be my algae eater. I knw the pleco can get to about 6 in and the loach will stay a lot smaller. They r the same price so it's a toss up on what to get, ne advice??

So I was wondering, the water out of my tap is like 6.8 oh and like 40 alkalinity...in my newest tank I used bakong soda to raise both, and it worked greag but thats all those fish know. I want to raise the oh n alkalinity in my goldfish tank thgh, but those fish have love w the low pH n alk. For like a month and a half...if I raise but th gradually shld the goldfish be ok??

A llittle update on my fish "room"... So about 4-5 days ago, i seperated the rams. I left the dominate ram in the 10 gal and took the other and put her in a 29 gal by herself. The one i moved was in bad shape but is hanging on and looking better. 2 days ago i moved my albino corys to the 10 gal, and bout 3 hifin zebra danios, which can i say r pretty cool fish. Since i added fish to the 10 gal the ram rly has been acting a lot better, he actually comes to the surface to eat cuz she knws the danios r up there eating. So my 10 gal is in pretty good working order. But i had an epic fail in my new 29 gal tank. I tried to add sand yest b4 i added the fish and i burnt up a filter and created a darn sand storm in the tank. I left the fish floating in the bags 8 hrs while i was at work, and when i got home i hooked up my new filter. After 12 hrs of the filter running i released the fish...i put 3 swordtails, 1 male 2 female and a sunset gourami. The sand is finally almost settled n the fish r able to see and eat. So hopefully after another day of running it will be pretty well cleared. Also added 2 starbai cory to my goldfish tank :) Next up is a 125 gal for my goldfish

Thank u everyone, i actually am trying to drop the temp down to around 80, it was only a blue ram in the tank. I took a litlle water from their old tank an added water every little while n then put them in the tank. they seem to be doing ok

So i currently have two corys in a 75 tank, but want to move them to an 82 tank...how to i acctimate them wo fish bags and do i actually need to rly acctimate when the temp diff is only a few degrees??

@Cory I love ur content and ur company! I have learned so much from watching you and dean, its pretty amazing the knowledge u two have...Sucks but i have to work the nite of the super bowl or id def be tuned into ur super fish party!!

@NOLANANO yes thats the same fish jst diff sides...but that is actually the fish that rarely comes out of the skull...this is a pic during feeding time, the only time i rly c it outside the skull. I will try and get a good shot of the fish that hangs outside the skull all day

@jwcarlsonWell w all the input, i do believe i got two females so... And i knew they were sand sifters alrdy and i dnt have the right setup. I am going to get a 10 gal setup from wmart and put a sand bottowm in it and transfer these girls. I wish i wld of got a guy an girl initially, but im prly gonna take 1 back n try to get a male. How can i tell which fish is more dominant thgh, the fish who took the skull by the bubble stone or the fish out in the rest of the tank? They both kind of initiate bickering but 1 is way more colored up than the other....And i do c the spangling in i think both of them The fish in the skull is the way more colored up fish,...

@NOLANANO This was ton when i fed them...i cld rly only get a good pic of the one, this is the one who is in the skull most of the time. the other ram isnt nearly as colorful as this one... @anewbie I believe at petco they were displayed as german blue rams. I have them in a 10 rn, i have bigger tanks coming but ddnt wanna dedicate a big tank to these guys.
