As I was doing a WC on the little tank today, I discovered the two Grainyhand crabs are still there, so they did not die from the last tank bad event! And I watched one of the hermits grab an amphipod in mid swim and eat it for dinner! Crustaceans are so cool! 🤪

inverts are the coolest especially in saltwater, one of my favorite is the pom pom crab(I haven't kept them)

@quirkylemon103I think I’ve seen people mention dry Repashy working on this and other forums. Worth a try! From my experience with Repashy and with fry foods about the same size in that powder form.

    ok thanks. 🙂

I mean, I don't think I need ponds...but I admit I might have priced the totes out. Not sure what I need to put in them, but I am going to go with "if I build it, they will come".

But will they fit down the stairs?!😨

maybe you could build some large plywood ponds on site? I think a 12 x 3.5 x 3.5 foot ponds with arowana and rays would awesome. with a lid of course the humidity would be a nightmare 😬

    Hey guys! I'm back!

The reason I haven't posted in a while is kind of complicated...

I am taking a PE course over this summer, and we happened to be playing handball-baseball (some kind of hybrid sport) one day. To keep things short, I ran into the wall at full speed (aimed for the crash-pad but had to dodge). I ended up fracturing my elbows and bruising my wrists, so I have a sling on each arm. It has been kind of hard to move my arms (and consequently, type) lately. Thankfully, they are supposed to be healed very soon.

So anyway, I will began posting again. I have some updates on my tanks and fish lately, so be sure to check those out on their respective threads if you want.

    Thanks!

are you ok now? I'm glad you are back

  6. first sometimes algae blooms just go away, unless it is bothering you a lot I would it alone for a while if it does bother you enough here are some suggestions

can you remove algae manually? if you can remove as much as possible

    reduce feeding

    reduce lighting length/intensity

let us know how it goes.

also can you get a picture of the young oscar 🙂

Thanks! Water changes of 10-15% several times a week helps. They eat a mixture of frozen foods (blood worms, shrimp, daphnia, etc) and dry foods (vibra bites, bug bites, omega one pellets). Once a month I order live black worms. That is what makes them really grow and color up!

good to know. do you have a favorite?

That’s great. My kid has a nice aquarium collection in Animal crossing and she’s built some cool tanks in Minecraft too.

which animal crossing I also have a very nice fish collection. I have a better collection on new leaf, but still mildly impressive on new horizons

also pro tip if you change the system time(not possible with parental controls on) it changes the animal crossing time
