MAKE IT STOP!!! The cruel, taunting awesomeness of the far, far and away Co-Op new fish lineup. *sigh*
Whats the bottom / last fish pictured? Looks like a pencil fish on clown steroids!
Purple Pencilfish. Very similar to the Red Arc Pencilfish.

For you local customers or anyone traveling to the shop this weekend, as you probably know by now we have a nice toasty heat wave coming in over the weekend. To make sure your visit to the shop is comfortable we will be dropping the mask mandate and having them optional if you still want to wear them. We will also be offering free popsicles while your shopping. Please stay hydrated and cool this weekend as its going to be a warm one for the books!
Sincerely,
Your Coop Family

@Fish FolkI really haven't heard much on breeding bettas from customers. If I do hear about and or approached about locally bred bettas the parents are usually coming from Asia such as Thailand specifically. I do wanna say though on one account the female betta was bought from a super store but the male from Thailand.

@Elquinjenawe have brought those in before. Pretty rare fish though.

Super cool and I am not sure why more people are not breeding these. Fun project and I would assume most local pet shops will hands down by locally bred ADF.

@Fish FolkI think they would be a fun breeding project for anyone. Gorgeous fish once all colored up. Maybe do a biotope with sailfin mollies or swordtails with them 😛

@Fish Folk endlers just from local customers. Couldn't get a great pic of the apistos. Yes the top pic is the synodontis.

Today these little beauties caught my eye, the African Butterfly Cichlid. Like the Bolivian Ram these little cichlids can take a while to color up. So its a fish that I would call a hidden gem in any pet shop. They stay small ( around 2.5" ) and are fairly peaceful though literature says they can be fairly aggressive during spawning but so is every cichlid. Some might say this fish is kind of like a "poor mans" German Blue Ram. Way easier to keep and doesn't need hot temperatures to really thrive. For tank mates they seem to get along with most fish. However though make sure to not put them in with overly rambunctious fish as this species is a bit shy. A bit hard to capture a good picture of this little gem. The black bands would come and go within seconds and if I moved near the tank the red piped fins would clamp down. But I was able to take about 3 decent pictures. Got these eating pretty much everything offered to them, live baby brine, Xtreme flake food, Xtreme pellets, and various frozen foods.

New fish for the week of 7/12-7/18
in Edmonds Washington Retail Store Forum

@Fish Folkwe carry female powder blue dwarf gouramis because they look beautiful with that powder blue and stay fairly peaceful for a gourami. Great 10-20 gallon show fish.
