@Frogmouth Catfish I finally watched the Mudfish eat. Didn't really see the mouth come out but saw one actively swimming around nabbing at cyclops and what looked to be particles in the water. I did film it. Looks like I need to create a YouTube account I can try to upload the video to there if I find time.

My work associate says he saw them going after frozen daphnia but I haven't confirmed this with my eyes yet.

Sicce Shark isn't bad but the suction cups on it really stink. I like that its compartments are connected by magnets so working on it is a breeze. In my 75 I have ran two types. One the Marineland internal canister filter/polisher. As a polisher it wasn't bad but your constantly replacing that crazy filter piece. I ran it as its second option with a poly sleeve around a fluted tube that contained Eheim bio substrat. Currently I have that filter shelved atm. The one I'm still using is a Eheim internal filter when Petsmart used to sell it under the Nat Geo line. Cool thing with this is you can attach the Ehiem prefilters to it.So my unit is like 15" in height with sponges and Eheim bio substrat. As long as you keep up on the sponges the unit isn't bad. The main gripe I had was the suction cups like Sicce really suck. However I was able to attach a magnet holder from a Reef power head to the the top of this filter so it will basically forever hold its place in my tank.

Its a dwarf Synodontis species (Synodontis lucipinnis), looking at around 4" or so in size. It likes to be kept in groups or otherwise it can be a bit bossy of a fish. Though it hails from Lake Tanganyika it can be kept in South American community tanks as it can be kept it a variety of water parameters. Diet wise its considered omnivorous and care should be taken to not have too tiny of tank mates as they could be eaten. There a fun and cute looking fish that adds instant entertainment and wow to any community tank.

If you can have only one fish tank what would it be? To make it realistic lets say your living in an apartment, town home or condo so you cant get get to crazy. For example I would love to have one day a 300 gallon tank but realistically my home will allow a 75 at max. So I'm curios if your only to have one fish tank what would you build. Feel free to get detailed as you want on listing stocking, plants, hardscape, and filtration etc. For me I think I would run a 38 gallon tank. I think hardscape would be seiryu stone and large manzanita wood. Plants would be several types of cryptocoryne such as luetea, lucens, spiralis and wendtii red and green. Substrate a mix of crushed coral and small dark pebble. I am debating on adding sword but I think a crypt only tank would be interesting to see after a good year of growing out. The aim would be to look a little bit of a river look. I think lighting might be a 36" finnex stingray. Filtration a aquaclear 50 all tricked out with intake sponge and purigen with sponge and bio rings inside. Fish would be candy cane tetras (12-15), corydoras similis (6-8), pair of L183 blue seam plecos, a pair of pelvicachromis taeniatus "nigerian red". Maybe add a small school of eques pencilfish since I do love their looks.

I would agree with Cory that servicing them can be a pain, especially if your running a sponge or poly material in them. They do work and I love that they can be fairly customizable. I run two big box filters in my koi/goldfish tote along with a Ehiem canister. In my boxes I just loaded them up with ceramic media and dunk them in a bowl of water every once in a while to clean them.

Not that I have seen. In this shipment the wild ones did come in a bit bigger.
