Here are several species of fish that you could look into for a general peaceful community (all species listed will be easy to find in a big box pet store or a local fish store. I did not include fish that I wouldn't expect to easily find in a store): The blue tetra (Boehlkea fredcochui). Some sources say it's a fin nipper or food aggressive, while others say it is a peaceful community fish. You can make the decision here. The penguin tetra (Thayeria boehlkei). It's in a similar situation as the blue tetra. Various Moenkhausia species can be found in Peru, but not any that are common in the hobby. The red-eye tetra (Moenkhausia sanctaefilomenae) looks very similar to much more rare species found in Peru, so it would serve as a great substitute. Marbled hatchetfish (Carnegiella strigata). Eques pencilfish (Nannostomus eques) A few common Corydoras species that live in Peru: C. adolphoi, C. aeneus, C. agassizi, C. arcuatus, C. elegans, C. panda, C. rabauti, C. trilineatus. A few common Apistogramma species that live in Peru: A. agassizi, A. cacatuoides, A. panduro. Various Ancistrus species can be found in Peru. Anyway, I hope this helped. Here is another source you could use: https://www.fishbase.se/country/CountryChecklist.php?resultPage=1&what=list&trpp=50&c_code=604&sortby=alpha2&ext_CL=on&ext_pic=on&vhabitat=fresh If you wouldn't mind, I'd love to see a picture of the finished, stocked tank after you are done. Good luck! Edited March 30, 2021 by CorydorasEthan
