I'm excited to finally join a community and have a place to share stories and ideas and get answers to some pressing questions. Fishkeeping has always fascinated me and as a kid my favorite place to be was in the aquatics room of my local pet store. Even so I never owned a tank until I was in my mid-30s. I'm still fairly new to the hobby as I just set up my first aquarium (29g) a few years ago. Now I've since sold that tank and have about 8 others. I even set up a planted 75g for my daughter's school! In the next several months I'll be buying a house and have a basement room that will serve as a small fish room.
