Jimmy Cleveland
So i ended up just getting some fake plants and pulling them off their weights bundling them all up to create a fry Nursery for when my guppies drop. This will have to work until I can get some live floating plants
OceanTruth
That looks like a nice big tank. Fry production will definitely get going even before you get some live plants. Even just the hardscape will help them survive.
Jimmy Cleveland
55g with 3 guppies 2 African dwarf frogs 2 mystery snails a nerite snail 1 ghost shrimp some detritus worms and probably a ton of other microscopic organisms. About 12 younger plants four five different species and some algae. The male is already ramming into the two females and going after their poop thinking it's a fry. Evacuation part of the females is already starting to look triangular and enlarged my guesstimate is a few weeks but I am unsure they are still young so I believe the spawn will not be too large
lefty o
fake plants are better than nothing. it gives them a place to hide, and they can peck at the micro organisms that grow on it.
Jimmy Cleveland
Yes I agree and I place them where I can feed them readily it will also help block or slow down any current so they don't have to slim their little tails off
