PattysAquatics
So I have a breeding pair of Gold Saums (green terrors) and they had their first spawn a little over 2 weeks ago and now they have another. Think the original fry will be safe in there? They haven’t ate any that I know of yet.
Administrators Cory Posted February 18, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 18, 2021 What size tank? Usually at some point the parents will eat fry if they first batch start coming near the new batch in my experience with most egg laying cichlids. If they can stay far enough away you can raise multiple broods.

May have to try to get them out I just wanted them to raise them but if there going to continue to have more that might not be possible
Brian
I would remove. You have to ask yourself what, if any are the benefits to leaving the fry with the parents? And what are the risk? Sooner or later the parents will want to spawn again, and the older fry will no longer be looked upon as children but as predictors. Good Luck
