So I have three male platies and they will not leave each other alone always frantically swimming and chasing and nipping and I am getting tired of watching it my tank is Lushly planted and my parameters are in check so I was thinking that would return them for some female balloon mollies because I’m getting tired of watching them always stressed I want to get females because they seem to be the most docile I want to get 4 should I get 4 females or three females and one male?

If you want to get fry go for the three females and one male. If you don't want fry get the females. You still might get fry if the females were in the same tank as the males in the pet store though.

Will the females be aggressive? because all of my current males are crazy.

they won't be as aggressive as your males. All though the males will be aggressive if you put other females in the tank with them. So all females should work fine. But as @Levi_Aquatics mentioned there is still a chance of fry if you decide to go with all females.

I also might try and stick with platys because Molly’s need bigger tanks.

Do you think if my platys do end up working out I want 4 so could 2 coral red platys and 2 karat tuxedo platys go together?
