Connor Elliott
Can I run my filter while treating with quarantine trio? I don’t have chemical filtration
Ken Shan
Not an expert. I guess as long as you use sponge filter and no chemical filtration and lots of aeration the meds should work fine.

Kirsten
Yes, you should continue with aeration and non-chemical filtration while medicating. Many medications change the viscosity of the water, making it a little harder for fish to breathe. So aeration is especially important.
Connor Elliott
I like to have an air stone for flow for my hill stream loach anyway also my tank is 10 gallons is it OK if I does the recommended amount with a hill stream Loach? Or would they be to sensitive?
Ken Shan
I never had experience with loaches. But sometimes quarantine trio or a combination of more than one med can be a too much for some species. I would add one med per day and monitor closely. Generally, if the meds start working you’ll see some change in their behavior in a few hours. If the behavior changes for bad, I would suggest remove meds immediately.
