Sleepy Goldfish

Hey guys,

I got a fantailed goldfish about a week ago he was super active in the petstore so I chose him. When I got home he had some kind of fungal infection and had the long white poop so I ran the quarantine trip threw him. He remained pretty active but as he cleared up he seemed in active and I was worried but I found that once it was night he became his super active self. What do you think has caused him to become essentially nocturnal?

Is it just the one fish in the tank? How bright are the lights? I'd think something is causing it to be shy when lights are on.

I can't believe @Cory actually responded to my thread 😱! It's a quarantine tank so it's just him some pogostemon and duckweed. I don't have any lights on the tank to let him settle in a bit so he get the ambient light as the room is well lit.

He has actually been pretty active today but I noticed yesterday that he has a pin head sized hole on his right gill flap is that something i should be concerned about? My fiancee says it's more like a missing scale.
