Plursa
I've been checking out recipes for DIY fish food and was wondering if Kelp powder would be suitable instead of spirulina? I have a 55 gal community tank with mostly tetras, cats, otos and snails. And I'd love to see any recipes you might have. Thanks!
Biotope Biologist
Yes that’s a perfectly fine substitute although some fish can be fussy about the taste so make a small batch first before you commit!
Plursa
Biotope Biologist, I have compared several recipes found online and I have read the ingredients of Repashy Community Plus. I have a number of the items in powder form, but the recipes usually call for whole ingredient. Any idea how you would calculate corresponding powder amounts? Plursa
For DIY fish food do the veggies need to be cooked or can they be raw? Also, the seafood? I've seen recipes that say either way. Any thoughts?
