Mountain minnow abscesses

Hi I noticed an abscess on one of my three mountain minnows a while ago, they have recently been getting a lot worse with large bubbles appearing around the face of the fish. When I googled it it said that they were non contagious and that you should just let nature take the fish away and that that there is nothing you can do. I just wanted to post here to check that there is nothing i can do to prolong the fishes life or cure the fish.

 if it's an abscess they can contain pus or clear fluid what I would do is quarantine and treat with aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 2 gallons and kanaplex just in case there's a bacterial component @Roo
