Do anyone know about Chinese Hi-fin Shark?

I want them for my goldfish pond but will they bother the goldies or how long does it take for them to grow from 5 cm to 30 cm?

I know of people having chinese hi-fin shark with koi with no issues. They like to graze on algae. Tbh don't have any info on growth rate.

But do they eat small minnow?

Tbh I don't know.

In my experience they aren't predatory but like most fish wouldn't turn down a protein snack if they can fit it in their mouth.

Lastly, what is the growth rate? (Slow? Fast? Very fast?)

It’s a cypriniform that was incredibly popular in the 90’s early 2000’s as a pond mate for koi. 
 

AFAIK they share much in common in growth rate, diet, and temperament to koi and goldfish. Although they fell out of favor as they tend to occupy the deeper bottom segment of ponds and quickly become ‘shy’ rarely seen fish.

 

I have never kept any personally so all accounts are from other’s experiences and not my own.
