Lonkley
I have an Aponogeton ulvaceus which is absolutely amazing, I absolutely love it's leaves and I swear I can watch it grow. It keeps trying to flower, but so far I have been cutting them back. I've been afraid if I let it flower, it'll die back, but I also don't know if it needs to die back. Should I keep trimming it, or allow it to flower? It's the ribbon on the left. Edited November 24, 2023 by Lonkley
Odd Duck
I prevent mine flowering since they always die back quite a bit afterwards and they’re messy when flowering. I let mine flower once and it looked like I was going to get seed but I probably missed a step (should have done more reading) and didn’t get plantlets. Chick-In-Of-TheSea
I enjoy the flower for a day or two, then I cut it at the base of the plant so the plant can focus its energy again on leaves.
