Tetra eggs?

Hi there I was wondering if these are tetra eggs. I have a few Orange Von Rio Tetras (flame tetras) in my tank, I have never breed tetras and I don’t know what these little white dots are (I do know they are not snail eggs though)

Watch them closely to see if any move.  They look like they could be ostracods - seed shrimp?  If they move under their own power, they are definitely not eggs.  I can’t tell from your picture but they look a little oval.  Fish eggs would be perfectly round.

I find it strange that tetras should spawn right above a sponge filter

Agree on size and location, but they might have been drawn into the filter if that’s the only water movement in the tank?  Looks most like ostracods to me, size, shape, and they like sponge filters.
