Kieflow
Hello all, I have a 100 gallon outdoor aquaponics pond that has started reading high chlorine levels over the past weeks. I’ve treated the entire pond with prime a couple times, but the readings always come back with high chlorine. Water changes are done very rarely and new water is added mostly by rainfall. Fish seem fine they are eating vigorously and have no signs of external issues (I even pulled a few out to inspect closer in a see through container) I am very confused as to if I actually have high chlorine, or if there is something else in the water that could be causing those readings. Fish Folk
Hmm… I think I would not be distressed. If fish are fine, and rain is refilling, it’s probably not a very big deal. It could be that your water treatment is skewing the test. Check your local water report to learn of broad spectrum antimicrobial treatment: https://ordspub.epa.gov/ords/safewater/f?p=136:102::::::
