Using nano air pump until regular air pump is available?

So I really don't want to buy another brand of air pumps for my new 120g.  I have a couple nano air pumps for that just in case moment. So I was wondering if I can used those hopefully not long term until the regular air pumps come in.

Yes you can use them.  They might not be as effective as something intended for a bigger tank.  If you run into issues, you can try to mount them higher up on the glass so they don't have to deal with pushing as much depth to get the air through the line.

I use the nano pumps with air stones inside sponge filters to good effect.  But one issue to keep an eye on (if you're referring to the little green nano pumps) is their tendency to quit expelling air occasionally until I  smack them a few times.  Then they'll work again for a period of hours...and repeat.  In my case I use them as additional filters with  hobs as the main.   There may be an easy fix to keep them running I haven't stumbled upon.

I use the nano pumps on 10 gal shrimp tanks. This one has been running a nano sponge filter for over 6 months non stop with no problems. I probably need to do some cleaning, but the shrimp don't care. 

I'm interested to hear how the little pumps do in a large tank...🤔

I will try to let everyone know. I am moving my pump with 2 hoses to a 120g from my 40g. My 40g has a hob and sponge filter so tht one will hv the nano air pump.

I just hang them on the back of the tanks or on the HOB filters. A couple of air hose loops up high just in case ... don't want to drain a tank with a siphon if the power goes out.

But I waiting for the regular air pumps to become  available  and thr is no eta. So could I conceivably use it continuously for a few weeks. I was told yes but output won't be as strong so tht wrks.
